  • About Me

    My name is Paul Stott and I am a wedding photographer covering London, Surrey and the South East. I live with my wife Eralys who works as a concert pianist and piano teacher.

    Over the last 6 years I have photographed over 180 weddings in some of the finest wedding venues in the Surrey and London area.

    Wedding venues I have photographed in London, Surrey and the South East include Painshill Park, Wotton House, Farnham Castle, Ashdown Park, Rivervale Barn, Losely House, Penshurst Place, Clandon House, Horsley Towers, Barnett Hills, Denbies Vineyard, The Ramster, Great Fosters, Warren House amongst many others.

    I enjoy meeting new couples and help planning the photography on the day. It is important to me to gain a rapport with all couples so when I photograph them I can get natural relaxed responses. The key is a genuine rapport with a photographer that shows empathy, good natured humour and gentle assertiveness when required to push things along.

  • My Style

    My style is a combination of reportage allied with careful control of the available light. It is great letting things happen naturally, however if the bride is going to put her dress on in the gloomiest part of the room a bit of prompting to change location is a good idea. These little changes don't spoil the day but enhance the photography.

    Most of the day is candid but some of the most cherished photographs are when I take the couple away on their own. Here I always visit the location and carefully plan possible shots.

    This planning enables me to get unusual shots other photographers may not have seen and it also means I can get more good shots taken in less time. The planning is the foundation enabling the creativity on the day to flourish.
