As this is my last post of the year I am posting more photos than I usually do. The couple from this wedding at Horsley Towers are getting around 480 photos. I like to give couples between 350 and 500 photographs and all the shots they receive are processed and have redundant, duplicate and inferior photos removed.
This was the second wedding of the year at Horsley Towers and it is a fantastic venue for photography.
Anna and Jonathan got married at the All Saints Church Ockham before going to the wedding reception at Horsley Towers. Being a winter wedding on the…

Ashdown Park
Ashdown Park is a neo-Gothic Grade II listed mansion house in the heart of the Ashdown Forest. It has a choice of period rooms including a converted chapel and beautifully landscaped grounds, The Richard Towneley Suite is a converted chapel with a vaulted hammer beam ceiling and is lit beautifully by stained glass windows. The venue offers fantastic possibilities for shots inside and out.
Preparation
I met the Oliver and Alina at the Olympia wedding fayre and I was very pleased that they chose me over 30 other photographers displaying that weekend. We met before the day at Ashdown Park and explored the photographic… - Wedding Photography …

Laura and Chris got married at Mattingley Church with their venue the stunning Farnham Castle.
First built in 1138 by Henri de Blois, grandson of William the Conqueror, Farnham Castle was the home of the influential Bishops of Winchester for over 900 years. The architecture reflects changing styles through the ages, making it one of the most important historical buildings in the south of England.
For the couple shots we went up into the Keep of the castle before taking a tour of the grounds. The shoot had my usual variation of close intimate shots, shots showing off the venue and a few…

Jayne and James got married in the St Mary and St Nicholas Church in Leatherhead and then went to Horsley Towers for their reception. Jayne and James are friends of Ben and Katherine and I photographed their wedding earlier this year at the Ramster.
Horsley Towers is a majestic gothic manor house Surrey countryside. Architectural visionary William Currie commissioned the designer of the Houses of Parliament, Charles Barry, to build the towers in 1820. The architecture is original and pays homage to a Bavarian Castle in true Victorian Gothic style. Jayne and James used the Great Hall to have their reception.…

Malisha and Howard had their wedding reception at Painshill Park in Surrey.
Painshill Park stretches along the banks of the winding on land that has a number of natural hills and valleys. The central feature is a serpentine lake. The park is home to many follies built by the owner in the 18th century, many of which have been restored. The key with the wedding photography is to utilise the location and the follies but not let the photo shoot aspect of the photography take over the day. It is possible to hire a buggy at Painshill but we chose to walk…

Kristina and Stefan had an action packed wedding day covering various venues. They both got ready at Wotton House in the morning. This gave me the opportunity to take some fun shots of the guys at the Turtle Gardens before they went to the church. After the guys had disappeared I went into the bridal suite and took some bridal portraits of Kristina. We used the bathroom as the light coming through the window was lovely. After the bridal shots and waiting for a shower to clear we went back to the Turtle Gardens with Kristina and the bridesmaids. Wotton…

I visited Cuba in Christmas 2009 with my wife to be Eralys Fernandez and a few of her friends. We stayed in her family home in Guanabacoa on the outskirts of Havana. I took hundreds of shots while out there and this is just a quick selection. There are some shots in the local school as my wife was giving a piano master class one day. Although I primarily do weddings and portraits to earn a living it is important as a photographer to take travel photos and landscape photos as it trains the eye. I hope to return to…
